Youth Night Packing
Hillside also conducts a Youth Packing night. Youth
groups from across Westchester and Putnam County, NY and Connecticut, come to the
respective warehouses one Friday evening each month to pack over 1200 staple bags
for delivery to our clients. Youth come with their group leader and or family, pack
groceries, and enjoy refreshments afterwards. Youth hear a short message relating
to community service. The youth get to meet others from organizations across the
county. Youth night has proven to be a great success and we currently have a 3 month
waiting list for groups wanting to participate. Between 60-80 youth participate
in each packing night.
